Mixed media, sand-based medium, acrylic and gold leaf on canvas · 100 × 100 cm · 2024–2026

A surface that holds time rather than depicting it. Gold is laid down and covered, laid down again, each pass leaving a residue the next one only partly conceals — until the accumulation itself becomes the image. Fissures and raised veins run through the field like the record of a long pause: nothing arrives, and everything settles. The eye finds no focal point, only a slow topography that rewards the second look and the third. Waiting, here, is not empty duration but a material that thickens.
